October 2009: High-ranking guest scientist at ZBSA
Professor T. Douglas Price recieves research award of the Humboldt-Foundation and will be guest scientist at ZBSA in 2010
Professor T. Douglas Price is internationally renowned especially for his achievements in the field of archaeological chemistry. He is a leading scientist with respect to the application of isotopic analysis to archaeological problems. By measuring strontium isotopes and other trace elements in bones and teeth he has been able to document otherwise imperceptible evidence of migrations and mobility patterns among prehistoric people all over the world. During his stay in Germany, he will continue to develop and refine the isotopic analysis approach and pursue research into the complex socio-economic and inter-group relationships of prehistoric societies.
